At a glance
- You can request deletion of your Smoko account and associated data in the app or by email.
- Cancel any active paid subscription with the billing provider shown on your receipt before deleting your account.
- Deleting your Smoko account does not by itself cancel an active Google Play or other provider subscription.
- Account deletion is not, by itself, independent confirmation that provider billing has ended or every provider-held copy has been deleted.
- Some records may be retained where required by law or under a disclosed service-provider retention requirement.
Before you delete
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions. If you have an active subscription, cancel it before deleting your Smoko account so you keep access to the billing controls and cancellation receipt.
For a Google Play subscription:
- Open the Google Play Store using the purchasing Google account.
- Open Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Smoko and choose Cancel subscription.
- Keep the cancellation confirmation for your records.
If Smoko is not listed there, check the billing provider shown on your receipt or email hello@localvoiceai.com.au before deleting your account.
What your deletion request covers
Your request covers the following data held in active Smoko product systems, subject to completion checks and any retention described below:
- Your account profile — name, email, business name, and phone.
- Your business and agent configuration.
- all call recordings, transcripts, call summaries, and call detail records (CDRs).
- Your push notification tokens.
- Product-analytics collection for your account stops. Previously collected analytics events may be retained by our analytics processor for a limited period.
If stored recordings or transcripts cannot be deleted immediately, storage cleanup must be reconciled before deletion can be treated as complete. An account disappearing from the app is not, by itself, proof that this storage work has finished.
We may retain a limited set of records — for example billing and tax records — where Australian law requires it. A service provider may also retain limited records under its applicable terms or legal obligations. Contact us if you need written confirmation of what was deleted, what was retained, and why.
Delete from within the Smoko app
To delete your account from inside the app:
- Cancel any active subscription using the steps above.
- Open the Smoko app.
- Tap Settings / Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the account-deletion request.
Keep the in-app confirmation, but verify subscription cancellation in your billing account separately. If your account contained recorded calls, you can ask us for written storage-deletion status at hello@localvoiceai.com.au.
Delete by email
If you prefer, or if you need written completion status, email hello@localvoiceai.com.au from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". Tell us whether you have an active subscription and whether the account contains recorded calls. Do not send passwords, payment details, recordings, transcripts, or caller information by email.
We verify your identity before acting and respond within 30 days. Our response will confirm completion, explain any disclosed retention, or tell you what work remains.
